Maynard James Keenan recently took a break from his music career to go back to high school.
According to the "Mason County Press," the Tool frontman returned to Michigan's Mason County Central High to help the school's 16 wrestlers prepare for a local tournament this past weekend.
Keenan was a high school wrestler himself at MCC alongside the team's current coach Jim Allen. The two touched base again last year, and Keenan has been helping out with the team ever since.
Allen says the rocker paid to have the team go to a wrestling camp, and even gets down on the mats with the kids during practice. The coach says Keenan has remained very humble, adding that his heart is still in Mason County and in helping the students no matter where his rock career may take him.
